About the school

A private Nigerian school built around clear standards

Sound Mind Schools educates children from Creche through Secondary. Our aim is straightforward: sound minds, sound character, and a genuine readiness for what comes next.

Our mission

To give every child a sound mind and a firm foundation

To bring affordable qualitative education to every doorstep — teaching the Nigerian curriculum thoroughly, assessing honestly and involving parents at every stage.

Our vision

Graduates who are capable, disciplined and useful

Graduates who are capable, disciplined and useful: able to reason for themselves, work without supervision and carry themselves well at university, at work and at home.

Core values

Integrity

We expect honesty in the classroom, in examinations and in conduct.

Diligence

Consistent effort is valued as highly as natural ability.

Respect

Every student, parent and member of staff is treated with courtesy.

Service

Learning is directed outward — towards family, community and country.

Excellence

We hold work to a standard, and we teach students to do the same.

A message from the proprietor

Sound Mind Schools exists for a simple reason: children learn best where the standard is clear, the teaching is careful and the environment is safe.

We are deliberate about the basics — reading, reasoning, and the habits that make a student dependable. We measure progress honestly and share it with parents each term, because a school and a home working from the same information is the strongest thing a child can have behind them.

If you are considering us for your child, please come and see the school for yourself. You are welcome.

Our community

Teachers and students, together every day

Our staff know the children by name. Days begin together at assembly, and parents are kept informed through the term rather than only at the end of it.
